1. Who We Are

CountMySentences (countmysentences.com) is a free text analysis platform operated as a personal project. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle data, you can contact us at joshua070615@gmail.com.

2. The Text You Enter Into Our Tools

We do not collect, store, transmit, or process the text you enter into any CountMySentences tool. All nine tools — Sentence Counter, Word Counter, Character Counter, Keyword Density Checker, Reading Time Calculator, Text Case Converter, Word Frequency Counter, Paragraph Counter, and Line Counter — perform their analysis entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your text is read from the input field by local JavaScript code and used to compute a result that is displayed on screen. At no point does your text leave your device or browser session.

You can independently verify this by opening your browser's developer tools (press F12), navigating to the Network tab, and confirming that no outbound network requests are made when you type or paste text into any tool. This architecture was chosen intentionally so that users can safely analyse confidential, sensitive, legally privileged, proprietary, or otherwise private documents without any risk of exposure.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

CountMySentences does not collect:

• Any text you enter into our tools
• Your name, email address, or any other personal identifier
• IP address logs linked to your activity on individual tool pages
• Device fingerprints or user agent strings retained for tracking purposes
• Browsing history or cross-site tracking data
• Payment information (there are no paid features)

There are no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no login system on CountMySentences (except for the blog administration panel, which is only accessible to the site operator). Regular visitors have no profile, no stored preferences, and no data record of any kind.

4. Aggregate Analytics

CountMySentences may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand overall site traffic — for example, which tools are most popular, which countries visitors come from, and general trends over time. If analytics are used, they are anonymised and aggregated: they do not identify individual users, they do not record which pages a specific visitor viewed in sequence, and they do not contain any text content entered into the tools.

Any analytics data collected is used solely to understand how the site is being used in aggregate so that we can improve the tools and prioritise new features. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any commercial profiling purpose.

5. Cookies

CountMySentences does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party profiling cookies. The site may set essential first-party cookies to support basic functionality — for example, to remember display preferences or to maintain a session for the blog administration area. These functional cookies are not used to track you across other websites and are not shared with any third party.

Most modern browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to use any of the text analysis tools, as these operate entirely without cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

CountMySentences loads the following third-party assets to deliver the site's interface:

• Google Fonts — for typography (Hanken Grotesk, Inter, JetBrains Mono). Google's servers handle the font delivery request; see Google's Privacy Policy for details on what data Google collects from font requests.
• Google Material Symbols — for interface icons, also served by Google's CDN.
• Tailwind CSS CDN — for stylesheet delivery via jsDelivr or the Tailwind CDN network.

These services are used only to deliver static assets (fonts, icons, CSS). They do not have access to the text content you enter into any tool because that content is handled by local JavaScript only, not by any network request. None of these third parties receive your text input.

CountMySentences does not integrate with advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party service that builds user profiles for targeted advertising.

7. Buy Me a Coffee

CountMySentences is supported by voluntary donations via Buy Me a Coffee. Clicking the "Buy Me a Coffee" link takes you to a separate website operated by Buy Me a Coffee, Inc. Any transaction or information you provide on their platform is governed by their Privacy Policy. CountMySentences does not receive or store payment details.

8. Children's Privacy

CountMySentences does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the tools require no account and collect no personal data, children can use the text analysis tools safely. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us (for example, via the contact email), please contact us at joshua070615@gmail.com and we will take prompt steps to remove it.

9. Links to Other Websites

This Privacy Policy applies only to countmysentences.com. CountMySentences may contain links to external websites — for example, in blog posts or resource guides. These external sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit via a link from CountMySentences.

10. Data Security

Because CountMySentences does not collect or store user text, there is no database of user content that could be breached. The site itself is served over HTTPS, which encrypts the connection between your browser and our hosting provider. Static files are served via Vercel's global CDN, which maintains industry-standard security practices.

11. Your Rights

Under data protection laws including the GDPR (for users in the European Economic Area) and the CCPA (for California residents), you have rights regarding personal data held about you. Because CountMySentences does not collect personal data from regular users, there is generally no data to access, correct, delete, or port. If you have contacted us by email and wish to have that communication deleted, or if you have any data-related request, please email joshua070615@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of CountMySentences after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes — for example, if we were ever to introduce user accounts or a data collection practice — would be communicated prominently on the site.
